Do I need a referral to see the doctors at Appalachian Foot and Ankle Associates? |

The doctors at Appalachian Foot and Ankle Associates participate with Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Medcost, Crescent and will submit claims to most other commercial health insurance carriers. Most insurance carriers do not require a referral for podiatric evaluation and treatment at our offices. It is advisable to check with your insurance carrier. Worker's Compensation cases are accepted on a case-by case basis with prior authorization from the employer/insurance carrier.
