Extracorporeal Shockwave Technology (ESWT)

Extracorporeal Shockwave Technology is a non-invasive surgical alternative for severe heel pain (chronic plantar fasciitis). The OssaTron is the first shockwave device specifically designed and FDA approved for orthopaedic use. The treatment is similar to lithotripsy, which is long proven for the management of kidney stones by using the intense focal energy of shock waves to fragment stones.

The OssaTron is a welcome option for many. Approximately 25% of the population has pathological bone and joint conditions, calcification or diseases of the tendon. This painful and frequently debilitating ailment is often job– or sports–related and can contribute to loss of work.
